About Fan Fave Media

Fan Fave Media is a creative studio and culture brand helping people make meaning from what they love. With original shows, editorial projects, and live events, we spotlight the ways pop culture shapes identity, creativity, and connection - from fandom to full-time careers and everything in between.

What We Do

Fan Fave Media produces original editorial and branded content across podcasting, newsletters, events, and publicity campaigns. We also offer services for creators, artists, and organizations looking to tell better stories, build their brand, or engage their audience.

Originals fall under two key verticals:

Fan Fave: Culture - Home to podcasts, editorial features, and live panels that explore pop culture, nostalgia, and fan communities

Fan Fave: Uplift - A space for career, college, and creative guidance to help emerging voices thrive

Originals include:

  • School of Pop – A seasonal podcast exploring pop culture themes with curiosity and depth. Each semester features expert interviews, media analysis, and reflective commentary.

  • Unbreakable Voices – A podcast and event series spotlighting inspirational journeys in music, media, and mission-driven careers, hosted by Tracy Morgan & Katrina Monroe.

  • Pop Recap - A monthly newsletter breaking down entertainment news, must-know moments, and low-key recs, delivered the final Sunday of each month.

  • Editorial - A pop culture publication built to celebrate the fans who love out loud and think out loud too. Essays, interviews, and reflections that go beyond the discourse and back to what makes fandom fun.

Events

  • We curate and produce live programming that blends entertainment, education, and empowerment.  From career panels to community-centered events, our pop culture experiences seek to amplify culture and connect fans, creators and professionals.

Mission Statement

Entertainment isn’t just about consumption, it’s about connection.

  • We bring people together. Whether it’s over a TV show, an artist, or a Broadway musical, we explore how entertainment creates community, help creators connect with audiences and help future leaders find their place within the industry.

  • We dive deeper. We go beyond headlines to ask why it matters — highlighting rising voices, analyzing cultural trends, and exploring how pop culture shapes identity and ambition.

  • We turn passion into purpose. Through career content, live events, and storytelling, we support the next generation of creatives, helping them navigate the leap from fandom to full-time.

  • We bridge fandom and industry.  From producing editorial content to leading artist campaigns and career panels, we celebrate what audiences love while making space for them to grow within the world of media and culture.

  • We evolve with the culture.  As the landscape shifts, we grow with it — blending strategy, storytelling, and inspiration to meet the moment and spark what’s next.

At Fan Fave Media, we spotlight the stories that move us — because what we love can shape who we are, where we go, and how we show up in the world.

Meet the Founder

Hi! I’m Katrina Monroe — a writer, producer, and creative strategist passionate about pop culture, media, and the communities they inspire.

From film and TV to theater and music, I’ve spent my life immersed in the stories that shape our culture. Growing up on the internet, I was that kid binge-watching shows, analyzing movies, performing in the marching band or onstage in school theater productions, and attending every concert I could.

That love of entertainment and storytelling led me to NYU, where I earned my bachelor’s in Integrated Design and Media, and later to Georgetown University, where I earned a master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Along the way, I've taken on roles across journalism, entertainment, and digital strategy, everywhere from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to nationally syndicated newsrooms.

In 2022, I launched Fan Fave Media to bring all those pieces together — blending editorial insight, cultural commentary, and a fan-first perspective. What began as a passion project has grown into a platform that explores how pop culture shapes identity, creativity, and community — and helps emerging voices break into the industries they love.

My goal is simple: to help people make meaning from what they love — and create space for the next generation of storytellers, strategists, and superfans to do the same.
